Customizable study configurations.
Create a study configuration with custom task definitions, marker definitions and satisfaction survey. The study configuration also contains recording information, including how to start and stop Recorder, what events to capture, who will log tasks in Observer, and how to process recordings.
Built-in user satisfaction survey
Use the standard satisfaction survey (SUS) or create a custom survey with scale, freeform answer, choose one answer and choose multiple answers. The survey is delivered to the participant at the end of the test, and answers are captured and stored in the recording.
Audio and video preview
Recorder automatically scans the computer system for camera and microphone devices. Use the live preview of camera video and audio volume to easily make adjustments.
Automatic data protection
If the recording file approaches the size of a CD-ROM (600 MB), it automatically rolls over into another file. This guarantees that you can always move recordings on CD-ROM. In the event of a system crash, Recorder will automatically recover the recording data.
Morae Recorder Benefits
Create Custom Markers and Tasks
Recorder lets you enter custom marker and task definitions for use during testing. Because these definitions are readily visible in the Observer interface, observers aren’t forced to remember them and can focus their energy on logging.
Record without Disturbing the User
Recorder runs in the background without affecting the user experience, automatically capturing the interaction as the user performs tasks. Recorder can be as inconspicuous as you need it to be – minimize it to the tray or task bar, or hide it completely during testing.
Easily Measure User Satisfaction
With Morae, you don’t need a separate tool to conduct a participant satisfaction survey. A standard survey (SUS) is built in. Or, you can create and save a custom survey with various types of questions, including scale, freeform answer, choose one answer, and choose multiple answers. Either way, measuring user satisfaction is easy, because it’s integrated into the Morae process.
Customize What, When and How You Record
You can fully customize the study details, recording details, and machine settings options within Recorder to fit your specific study, and then save the configuration settings for repeated use.
Recorder also includes a built-in COM server component that allows developers to programmatically access Recorder’s options from within their own proprietary applications.
