How to Remove Background NoiseUnless you are recording in a recording studio or an area developed specifically for recording, it can be difficult to record good audio. The environment you record in and the microphone used can have a large effect on the quality of the recording. There are noises in our everyday environment that can and do affect audio recording, such as air vents, fans and other background noise. How to Automatically Remove Background NoiseTo remove background noise there are two options. The two options are to let Camtasia Studio automatically remove the background noise, or to manually select the background noise for Camtasia Studio to remove. To automatically remove background noise:
Note: The wave form on the Timeline should have turned burgundy when Remove Noise is applied. How to Manually Remove Background NoiseYou may also choose to manually remove noise.
Listen to the change to the audio. If the noise removal was not satisfactory, there are two options that may help to achieve the desired results. First OptionTry switching to Automatically try to detect noise on the timeline and adjust the sensitivity slide bar to be more or less sensitive. Then click Remove Noise. Second OptionYou can click on the Restore noise check box, and reselect a section of the audio Timeline that is a good sample of the noise (again without voice narration if possible). Then click Remove Noise to reset and reestablish the noise removal tool.
