TechSmith ExpressShow™ (SWF/FLV)

The ExpressShow Flash template (SWF) is ideal for producing videos that are approximately 15 minutes or less in length and do not contain a great deal of motion, such as transitions, Zoom-n-Pan keyframes, and animation.

The ExpressShow Flash template creates a single SWF file which contains the exported video, the configuration variables and the playback controls. The ExpressShow (SWF) is the ideal format for embedding into blogs and Web sites. ExpressShow requires Flash Player version 8 or later for playback.

Use the ExpressShow template to include customizable information such as logos, table of contents, custom about box, and more.

Start and End Screen

If the content on the Timeline is better suited for FLV, choose the ExpressShow Flash Template and choose FLV (Flash Templates screen > Flash Options button > Video tab).

FLV is ideal for longer, high motion videos such as real-world video, camera video, or animation. Use FLV for lossy or compressed video clips such as WMV or MPG clips.

The ExpressShow (FLV) does not produce a single file like the ExpressShow (SWF). However, the ExpressShow template (FLV) allows you to make the same customizations to your Flash production.
