TechSmith Delivers Camtasia Screen Recorder for RealSystem and RealOne Enterprise Desktop

Organizations Can Record Presentations for the RealOneTM Enterprise Desktop; RealNetworks to Market Solution as Camtasia RealSystem® Edition

EAST LANSING, Michigan - April 24, 2002 - TechSmith Corp., the leading provider of screen capture technology for more than a decade, today announced a licensing agreement with RealNetworks®, Inc. (Nasdaq: RNWK), the global leader in Internet media delivery. The agreement enables RealNetworks to offer its customers Camtasia RealSystem Edition, which optimizes TechSmith's industry-leading Camtasia screen-recording software for use with the RealNetworks' RealSystem.

Camtasia is an open, standards-based content-creation system that allows enterprise users to create multimedia presentations by recording, editing and narrating on-screen activity from Windows desktops. It is particularly effective in simplifying technical documentation, product training and customer support. Camtasia RealSystem Edition is a modified version of Camtasia that has been customized for the RealOne Player and RealOne Enterprise Desktop.

Camtasia RealSystem Edition includes the new Camtasia RealOne Player Plug-in.. This enables corporations, educational institutions, and government agencies to stream high-fidelity Camtasia videos across the Internet at low bandwidth with little to no quality degradation. This is particularly useful for small businesses that have dial-up Internet connections, as well as telecommuters and customers who connect to corporate networks with 28.8 kbps or 56 kbps modems.
